Nine: the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Spain, Portugal, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg and Switzerland. The same numbers are drawn for all of them and the prize pool is shared.
What are Lucky Stars?
Two extra numbers drawn from a separate pool of 1 to 12. You pick five main numbers plus two Lucky Stars, and most prize tiers depend on how many of each you match.
Is the jackpot capped?
Yes. Once the jackpot reaches the cap it stays there and any further money rolls down to the next winning tier. The cap rises over time under the game rules.
What is UK Millionaire Maker?
A separate raffle on every UK EuroMillions ticket that guarantees at least one UK millionaire per draw. The code is printed on the ticket and is checked separately from the main numbers — use our raffle checker for it.
Are EuroMillions prizes paid in pounds?
UK winners are paid in pounds. The advertised jackpot is converted from euro at the exchange rate used for that draw, which is why the sterling figure moves between draws.
